John Simnett has asked us to make companies aware of the possibility of their receiving a number of free bikes c/o Hounslow and Ealing Borough Councils and some EEC money to promote cycling along the Golden Mile area.  There's room for about another 6 companies to take part, depending on how many staff in their businesses are interested in using a fully equipped bike - male or female (includes, lights, locks, pannier rack, mudguards, computer, free maintenance and free training (if they want it)).

There are already a number of companies/organisations who have taken up the offer including BSI, IAM, Elastic Hosts, West London University, Octink and another three in the offing, so they are in good company.  Anyone potentially interested and wanting more information, please email John at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. There is absolutely no charge to anyone participating, with lots of health and green credentials for participating businesses and staff.

Helen Martin's son, Jake Arnold, has written to us looking for work.

Jake is currently doing some leafleting for The Weir and is offering a range of services including going door to door and posting leaflets through peoples postboxes, handing leaflets out outside stations, town centres and any busy areas as well as droping off leaflets off at shops to put on the side for customers or in the staff room.

I can do any of the above to your required specifications ie time of day, duration and area.
