Just found this article in the local paper:-

"In 1984 the subscriptions to Brentford Chamber of Commerce are to go up by 100 percent - but no one voted against the proposal at the annual general meeting on Tuesday night.  Treasurer Mike Ricket said that at present subscriptions were too low at £6, £9 and £15 depending on the number of employees in the firm.  It was such a low fee that the larger groups were actually 'put off' ".
